Revlon - 'Custom Eye' Mascara

I love, love, love this mascara. It isn't one that i would normally use, but you know how you start using a product after a long time and fall in love with it again.. yeah that was me.

Also please excuse my horrible eyebrows and dark under eye circles hahah..

This mascara has an unusual feature where you can twist the masacra wand and it switches between 'Length and Defenition' and 'Length and Drama.' I didn't think there would actually be a difference, but funny enough i could see the difference. If you look close enough when you turn the wand, you can see the little brush things move. I usually use 'Length and Definition' as 'Length and Drama' has a bit too much volume for my liking and it looks more gluggy on your lashes.

This mascara is the 'blackest black (001),' i usually go for black mascara as having dark lashes makes your eyes look lighter and makes the colour of your eye pop. It is really easy to use however when you're applying it you can't be too excessive otherwise it may come out a bit 'woah,' if you know what i mean. There is a huge difference between my eye with mascara and my eye without, mascara can make such a difference as it defines your face and puts a lot of attention on your eyes.

I really like the packaging and the size of the bottle as it is kind of small but not too small, if you know what i mean. The mascara itself was a good consistency as it wasn't really wet when you put it on and it doesn't smudge everywhere. It also wasn't dry which is good because it becomes really frustrating when you have to do a billion layers of mascara to start getting it where you want. I really liked the mascara wand as it was thin brushes and they were all spread apart so it gave the look of having full lashes, instead of 4 of them stuck together. This was only $10.00, absolute bargain if you ask me..

Lush at Christmas!!!

I can't explain to you how excited i am for Christmas, i have been in the festive spirit since August.. not kidding. I bought this a while ago and i plan on using it on Christmas Eve, i'm in love with it and i haven't even used it. This smells like a sweet Christmas and it one of my favourite Lush scents, if you've ever tried 'Twilight,' that's the smell it has. It is to die for….

The colours is what attracted me to it in the first place, could you even imagine how amazing that would look when it hits water???? Ive been told that you get out of the bath covered in glitter, i'm not a huge fan of glitter in bath products because it's always a hassle when you get out. The colours and design used makes up for the glitter, i can forgive Lush. But if you like glitter and sparkles then this would be perfect for you! I don't know exactly how much this was, but whatever the price, i would still recommend it to you.
Lush has so many cute Christmas products and i had to stop myself from buying every single one of them. If you're looking for a nice way to spend your nights leading up to
Christmas and feeling a bit festive, go to Lush right now and buy everything! Just kidding…you should push through the temptation, unless you want to buy everything, then go for it. What would be a super cute idea is if you bought 25 bath products and labelled them like an advent calendar, so each night you end your day with LUSH and CHRISTMAS… My 2 favourite things :-)

Gifts from America

One of my close friends Brooke went to America a few moths ago, when she came back she brought me back some gifts! I thought this was so very nice of her, so here is a blog post : )

The first gift was the Maybelline 'The Rocket Volume Express.' I've only used this about twice however i have been very impressed both times. It makes the lashes full but not clumpy and they also make them long and separate. It is waterproof although i would say it is more towards the water resistant. I would recommend this to everyone, especially if you are looking for something that can withstand a small amount of water.

The Real Techniques shading brush has had so many good reviews that i have heard and read, although i have not got to use this brush yet, i am very excited to. The brush is really soft and isn't hard on the eye, which for me is really important as i have sensitive eyelids, as weird as that sounds.. hahah.

The next is the milk chocolate Hershey's bar, take note that the photo was only the wrapper because i ate it in the space of 5 minuets. There isn't really that much to say other than the fact that it was one of the best things i have ever tasted and it also smelt and taste like mm's. As you can see it was the XL chocolate bar, perfect for me ;)

This next gift is the Maybelline eye pallet, i don't know the official name of it, nor do i know the palette name, great work Dekiah hahah. The colours in it are so pretty, they are the nicest autumnal/earthy brown colours. In the top left corner is the base, it is a really nice white gold shimmer colour, in the top right corner is a champagne/ light brown colour, the colour directly underneath the light brown is a berry shade and that is used for the crease, the last colour is the bigger colour which is a darker brown which is used for the liner. I really love this pallet, i recommend this to everyone!

The last gift were the two 'eos' lip balms. I have been looking to buy one of these for so long, but my dreams were fulfilled ;) I'm not sure the names of them so ill go by the colours of the packaging, the pastel aqua balm smells like a minty christmas smell. That one is my favourite that I've used as it smells so good and it makes my lip tingle. The pink one smells like a sweet star berry, it smells so good and this one doesn't make anything happen to your lips but i still love it. The fact that it is a rounded lip balm makes the feeling of using it 1000x better.

I would like to thank Brooke for these presents and i love them so so much.

M.A.C - BB cream review

I am pretty devastated that this isn't my colour anymore and that i didn't get to use it all. However while i did use it i found that unlike some Mac foundations it didn't leave my skin thick of makeup it also has an spf of 35+, which i thought was pretty impressive.

I enjoyed using this as it was a light layer over my skin and you couldn't feel the heaviness of it in my pores. It smoothed over my skin and left it with a small amount of coverage for the days that you may not want to wear a full face of makeup. There isn't much to say other than that i would recommend this to you if you want something that looks natural but also has coverage to hide those small spots.

I also love the packaging, it has a sparkly outside that reminds me of space, and a matte lid that feels super smooth. This is part of Mac's prep + prime and this particular one is in the shade 'creme teintee.' This is kind of expensive so if you're only looking for a basic BB cream there may be other options for you, however it is a Mac product so what's to expect : )

Did someone say Lush?

I can't think of a reasonable excuse as to why the last post i wrote was
over a month ago, oops.

Usually i only ever buy bath products from Lush, however a while back i was looking for something new and i decided to give the 'Curly Wurly Coconut Shampoo' a whiz. Yes, this shampoo is meant for curly hair and mine is the complete opposite from curly, but the lovely Lush lady told me she uses it and it works wonders for all hair types. With this in mind i marched to the register and bought a $20 shampoo!

Was it worth it? You may ask, and the answer is DEFINITELY! I have bought this twice now and i can't get enough, it makes my hair feel smooth and i find it makes my hair feel clean and well moisturised. It is however quite a mission while washing my hair, because it is a coconut shampoo it has small coconut chunks in it. This means while washing my hair it looks like i have ultimate dandruff issues.  Like the quote goes 'beauty is pain' ;)

I get the pieces of coconut out by brushing my hair through while in the shower, it works like a charm. This leaves my hair smelling amazing, it has such a strong scent of coconut and I'm obsessed with it. It does look i little gooey in the photo because i took these right after i finished using it, looking back that probably wasn't the smartest idea. For this i just get a small scoop in my hand and rub it through my hair, it lasts for ages and i will be buying it again and again!

So like i said before, this was $20.00 but if you're willing to pay, you won't regret it :-)

August Favourites

If i wait any longer to do this post, it will be Christmas.. haha
Obviously it isn't August any more, however here i am doing my August favourites.
I'm not going to write massive paragraphs on every item because we will be here for hours, literally.

The first thing is 'Meow' by Katy Perry, i wear this all the time as it is one of my all time favourite scents and the bottle is super cute. I'm absolutely rubbish at describing smells so i can just say that it smells sweet and fruity in a way. Also can i just point out that it has rose gold, rose gold i tell you! I will later be doing a separate post about the perfume so keep your eyes open for that!

The second item is the mineralise skin finish powder by Mac, this is the best. It doesn't make your skin feel or look cake, it sets really well and its just really nice to apply. This is in the shade medium, which i think is a shade darker to usual, however it still works.

This is quite an odd thing, but i thought it was necessary as it is one of my all time favourite things to play. This is Cluedo, it is actually so fun to play and i love it, not just in August but in every month and every year. This is by far my favourite board game as it gets so suspenseful and competitive (especially between my family), therefore it happens to end up in my favourites.

Another random favourite is my JBL speaker, i use this all the time because sometimes when i'm alone in my room and my music is jamin', my phone and laptop volume just doesn't cut it. This saves my one man party as it has really clear and good quality sound, you just push the little plug and BAM, party! It would be better if it had bluetooth but using the cord works fine too.

Lush makes awesome shampoos and it just so happens that one of them ends up here. The 'Curly Wurly coconut shampoo' is in fact made for curly hair, however mine is the complete opposite. I continue to use it because it works magic on my hair, it leaves it so moisturised & smooth. The only down side to this is there are pieces of coconut in the shampoo so in the shower i have to brush the bits out.

The last item from the pictures above is a lipstick from Rimmel's Kate Moss collection in number 22. This is quite a bright red and i love it so so much. It glides on and stays on, which is what i love about it. Unlike some lipsticks i have previously tried, it doesn't leave my lips dry and wrinkled, instead it leaves a soft and smooth feel. This is so great as it is a cheap drug store alternate from a high street lipstick and it looks amazing on your lips.

These two other favourites aren't in the photos because its an album I've been loving & an online store.

The album i have been obsessed with is Iggy Azaleas 'New Classic.' I am aware this has been out for a while now and i have been listening to it since it came out and it never gets old! I love it so much because some of the songs have a really deep meaning and you can hear it in the lyrics, also it's just a really good album.

The final thing i have been loving through August is Asos online, i don't have access to an Asos store so i find shopping online is more convenient for me & i don't really have a choice because there isn't an Asos store in Australia that i know of. I love Asos as all their clothes are so cute and there is a wide range of styles and trends, however it is a bit pricey.

I hope you enjoyed this very long August favourites : )

Lush! Lush! Lush!

I haven't written a Lush post in a while as i'm trying to vary what i write about. Although every now and then it is necessary to write a good ole' Lush post. Here i have 2 Lush products that i decided to give a go because they both smelt amazing.

This smells exactly like berries, only better. You just plop this bomb into the bath water and watch it fizz away a magical purple, it contains bergamot and frankincense oil which is fantastic for your skin. These oils are used to calm your stress levels and to relax you, also in the centre you will find a cute note that will most certainly make you smile. The Blackberry Bath Bomb makes the water & of course your skin feel smooth and silky. It smells fresh, uplifting and warm, which is why i enjoy it so much. I will recommend and will be re-purchasing over and over.

First of all i love the name of this bath melt and second of all this is the best thing in the entire world. I can't even describe how much i love this, this may not be everyones pick of a Lush product but for some reason i have grown attached to this. My whole bedroom smells like this bath melt from it just sitting, imagine how amazing my bath and skin felt afterwards. It smells so sweet and ahh, i just love it so much. Of course i will be recommending this and buying it over like i already have, haha.

Which Lush purchase do you always go back to? : )

Pamper Night

It isn't all that often when i can have a me night where i just relax, take a bath and do little things that i enjoy doing.

I usually start off the night with a bath, for this night i was using the 'Rose Queen' bath bomb and it was amazing, it was such a nice spicy/sweet smell and it was so pretty in the bath. Once you dropped the bomb into the water, i found that it took a little time for it to fully disappear because it had so much content inside of it. Rose Queen is beautiful, after it has been in the bath for a while all the flower petals come out and they feel very smooth & moisturising on your body, while make the bath look amazing.

I would then move on to using my after products..

Reniu | Coconut Sugar Rub
I mostly is this for dry areas around my face & occasionally on my legs. The coconut scrub feels so beneficial on your skin, it's made from all natural ingredients and it is one of my favourite scrubs. This smells exactly like coconut & sugar, it's a very delicious smelling combination.

The Breakfast Scrub
i have previously written a blog post on this and you can find it here…. :)

The Body Shop is one of my favourite places to go to when i am in need of a moisturiser or cleanser. This 'Vitamin E Gentle Face Wash' works a treat! It is so moisturising and leaves me with a clean & fresh face after wards. I love this product because it is inexpensive, beneficial & just a really great wash.

I cleaned myself with this while in the bath, i always love using this when i take a bath because it's not an exfoliator so it's super smooth on your skin, also because it smells amazing. The Body Shop is on top of their game when it comes to the scents of their products. This is such a good wash as it leaves my skin feeling super clean & fresh.

Vitamin E Cream
This is just a regular moisturiser that you could buy at the super market or drug store. I really enjoy using a moisturiser with Vitamin E because it protects my skin & leaves it feeling hydrated and smooth. Redwin (the brand) always does a great job of making cleansers & moisturisers.

Lip Butter | Nivea
I am not 100% sure if i love this product as the smell kind of puts me off and I've been meaning to try the others in the range because this lip butter is really good. This doesn't really smell like caramel & cream but it's a really affordable product that leaves my lips looking smooth & well taken care of. Some lip balms leave a white cream residue on the lips and it can be kind of frustrating and thats why i enjoy this one. It would be better with a different smell and better packaging because it is quite hard application.

I absolutely love this, it has to be one of my favourite task masks ever, this leaves my skin feeling the best it has ever been. It smells super fresh (not really like a cupcake) & i love this product. Later down the line i will be doing a separate blog post on this, so keep your eyes peeled!

After my bath, my moisturisers and what not i like to make myself a nice warm chai latte (my favourite drink in the world) while pairing it with a few pineapple lumps & dark chocolate to snack on. After preparing the food i like to cosy up in my room, watch a movie and have some laptop time.

Earth Bound | Soy Candle

This is literally the best smelling candle ever. The Earthbound is a small company that sells soy candles,   (obviously) and all sorts of things along those lines such as soaps & melts.

I was at the markets one lovely Sunday morning and i came across quite a few candle stores. In the first picture there is the most adorable candle ever, it's lavender scented and it has a super pretty design on the front. The Earthbound first pulled me to their store because everything was set-up really classy & elegant.

I really love this candle as it smells amazing and usually i have it lit for around half an hour-an hour and it leaves my room smelling of lime basil & mandarine. The candle smells really fresh and fruity, perfect for maybe a cool Summer/Spring night. Is it weird to say that it smells super healthy? Obviously you can't eat it.. but if you could i bet it would be good for your body!

I loved this candle because it smells fantastic, i also love the fact that it's a small family company & the store at the markets looked so inviting. I would recommend this candle and all other products as I'm sure they won't disappoint.

(We also bought doggy soap for my puppy, the excitement never ends!)

M.A.C lipstick | Fanfare

I was so happy with myself when i bought this as i had been wanting a mac lipstick for forever, was it worth $36? My answer is Y E S !!
Mac literally has the best lipsticks ever, i get so excited when i get the chance to wear it. Fanfare was a really good decision because it isn't an out there colour so it goes with most things.

Some think it's absolutely ridiculous that people pay $36 for a lipstick but how can you not pry and bow down to it, i don't know if it's the beautiful packaging or the actual lipstick I'm attracted to but  either way, i don't regret it one single bit.

The lipstick glides over your lips making it a dream to apply, it isn't sheer, it feels so smooth and luscious on your lips and the colour range Mac has is gorgeous. I love this so much because you apply the lipstick in the morning and by lunch time/afternoon you can't feel it on your lips but the colour is there. Fanfare is such a pretty colour and I'm very glad i bought this one as it is very overwhelming trying to choose what colour would suit me because i didn't plan on buying the wrong one and then never wearing it.

Mac has a beautiful range of colours and i would recommend them 100000/10, so go buy a $36 lipstick because it is worth it!
